When the Kentucky Armadillo Aero Cadence Fetlock & Tendon Boots were launched last year, they proved a huge hit with show-jumpers worldwide.

This year, the brand have introduced an elasticated strap version called the Kentucky Horsewear Armadillo Aero Elastic Tendon and Fetlock Boot.

The boot design was originally inspired by Kentucky Horsewear’s passion for contemporary art and was designed in conjunction with leading international show-jumper Lars Nieberg and his groom Anna Sünkel. The boot marries together the latest in technical materials, with the emphasis on protection, comfort and freedom of movement without compromising on style.

The new design remain the same with a tough outer shell casing which is styled in an extremely light yet strong TPU outer shell to protect against impact, whilst the tendon and fetlock areas are both reinforced with D3O shock absorbing molecules for the ultimate in protection. Laboratory tests have shown that the boots absorb impact more than 50% better than any other boot currently on the market, with the ability to disperse a heavy blow equivalent to that which would actually break a human bone. The tendon area of the boot features intelligent ventilation holes to help prevent legs and tendons over-heating, whilst the neoprene lining is also perforated, making these boots incredibly breathable, as well as offering excellent cushioning against the skin.

The tendon boot also features a higher cut out design than traditional tendon boots to allow total freedom of movement around the pastern area, when the horse is jumping. Consideration is also paid to giving optimum freedom and comfort about the splint bone, so that the horses are able to flex the knee without interference.

The fetlock boots also feature a special ‘strike zone’, which is also filled with D3O to give the hind fetlock joint optimum protection from injuries caused by the horse as it leaves the ground before a fence. Both tendon and fetlock boots feature an open front and the new double elasticated insertion within the strap design has been developed to cater for those riders who want a boot, which offers the ultimate in protection, yet features this more traditional design aspect.

The new Eventer Pro 3015 has an improved anatomical fit-mobility with patent pending EVOLUTION FOAMTM that conforms to each individual athletes body shape and size. The foams construction allows for air return circulation, cooling the body in high temperatures with specialized antibacterial agents that prevent the vest from odor build up. A new design pattern of double layer TECTONICTM foam plating moves and flexes with the rider without any separation or gapping. Beth Haist, CEO of The Horse of Course, says she is thrilled to once again be supporting the Trainer’s Conference, an event that Horse of Course has been involved in for over ten years. “The Conference is a very important educational seminar for dressage riders, and that information is so important for the future of dressage,” Haist explains. This year’s conference will showcase Peters’ training techniques as he rides each day, and allow Peters and Hassler to engage attendees in peer-to-peer discussions in order to strengthen their problem solving skills and aid them in making better training decisions for a direct improvement in the horse. The Trainers Conference allows FEI-Level trainers, and other individuals who meet the attendee criteria, to see training techniques and interact with two world class dressage trainers as they analyze each horse, determine where to start and identify training problems and how to solve them.

Wellington, FL (December 6, 2012) – Dressage rider and trainer Endel Ots of Lionshare Dressage has recently kicked off his clinic tour with three successful days spent at Cutler Farm in Massachusetts. Ots was the alternate for the US Dressage Team during the 2010 Pan Am Games and is sponsored by Schneiders. Wellington, FL (November 21, 2012) – Marne Elizabeth Martin-Tucker turned her first show back in the U.S. after a European sojourn a winning one as she won the Custom Saddlery Most Valuable Rider award at the Gold Coast Dressage Association Fall Fling Nov. 10-11, 2012 at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center in Wellington, Florida.

Martin won the award on her 7-year-old Oldenburg mare Royal Coeur by taking the top place in Third Level Test 3 with a score of 68.46%. Her prizes included Dressage Sport Boots and a Custom Saddlery visor.

“She is a superstar, and she acts accordingly,” said Martin of Wellington about her 16.2h chestnut mare from the German

Rubenstein/Rembrant dam line. “She is really attentive to my aids and gave me a nice performance.”

Cary Wallace of Custom Saddlery congratulated Martin on her success and for winning the MVR title: “Marne put in an excellent ride, and we are proud to support her and the dressage community by sponsoring the MVR award through the 2012 Florida dressage circuit.”

Custom Saddlery is also hosting the Custom Saddlery Young Ambassador program, where riders between the ages of 13-25 can apply to win a custom-fit dressage saddle. The contest runs through July 2013. Entries will be reviewed and narrowed down the three, with the winner then selected by a panel of Custom Saddlery riders: U.S. Olympian Steffen Peters, Caroline Roffman and Endel Ots.
