Los Angeles, California (February 25th 2013) – The United States PRE Breeders Association (USPREBA) announced today the appointment of Alexander B. Zilo as its first Executive Director.
Widely recognized as a pioneer and leader in the satellite broadcast industry, Alexander Zilo is best known in equestrian circles for playing a pivotal role in the recent history of the Spanish Stud Book in the United States by traveling with Dr. Arancha Rodriguez in 2007 and and later with Dr. Ana Grangera Slikker throughout the country inscribing and revising over two thousand PRE horses. He is also known for having served as ANCCE North America Delegado for the last five years and for co-founding USPRE which has done much to promote the PRE in the sport discipline of Dressage. Alex is a recipient of numerous industry and equestrian awards in Spain for his dedication to the Pure Spanish horse. Last week he collected yet another commendation at FER PRE 2013 in Costa Rica presented by Jean Andre Garnier, ASOCPRE President.

USPREBA was formed in December 2012 by PRE Breeders across the country to unite like minded Breeders in North America and to preserve, promote and develop the Pure Spanish Horse (P.R.E. – Pura Raza Espanol) bred in the United States to the highest possible standard in North America and to serve their Breeder and Associate members through a continuing program of services; the Founding Directors have formed a relationship that offers the greatest possible support to North American P.R.E.
